Last Saturday, Arington Tree Farm hosted a
chainsaw safety course. The course, a program of Blackhawk Chapter of WWOA, was
put on by Jim Olive, an instructor from Chainsaw Safety Specialists.
Fifteen
community members attended the day-long training that covered a range of topics,
including personal protective equipment, saw maintenance and sharpening, proper
felling and bucking techniques. The course culminated in each participant successfully
downing a tree.
Arington Tree Farm believes strongly in the value of
education and strives to provide learning opportunities for the public. We
enjoyed hosting the class on Saturday... and Arik was grateful to have
a bit of work taken care of by the class participants!

course near them can contact Chainsaw Safety Specialists.
